All models are equipped  with headphone outputs for silent practicing and are expandable via MIDI technology.

Digital pianos, within all brands, are divided in two distinct categories. The first is what you would expect:  Sampled instruments addressing the basic touch and tone characteristics of a fine acoustic piano with “weighted” keys.

The second category:  Digital Ensembles.  Ensemble digital pianos can offer access to hundreds of instrumental voices and special effects sounds, as well as dozens of ‘styles’ and ‘background arrangements’ that make these instruments easy to play and enjoy.  Yamaha offers an extensive software collection to customize your experience.  These are wonderful and complete instruments for the accomplished arranger and the beginning musician.  They have extraordinary educational applications too.
